Don't Leave it at Home! Learn How to Pack Jewelry for Your Next Trip

Jewelry is an important part of every woman’s wardrobe. Incorporating these accessories into your outfits leaves you looking and feeling gorgeous. If you’re going away on a trip and want to stand out, ensure you carry your jewelry safely.

But, few people know how to transport such items. This is because most of these valuable items are delicate.

Check out some of the hacks below on how to pack jewelry for your next trip.

1) Drink Straws

The use of straws is a great way to keep your necklaces tangle-free. Simply thread the chain through the straw and clasp it on the other side. One straw can accommodate several necklaces, thus making your work easier.

Nonetheless, using one straw for several necklaces requires careful handling. This is because these accessories may tangle inside the straw. This method makes necklaces susceptible to damage when removing them. In place of a straw, you may use a toilet paper roll, which is a more tangle-free method of packing necklaces for moving.

2) Business Cards

The use of business cards is one of the best improvisations for packing travel jewelry. Its multipurpose nature allows for creativity during jewelry organization. This method is also cost-effective, as most people have business cards lying around their homes.

You can pack necklaces, bracelets, and earrings for moving by poking holes through the center of the card and then threading them through. Once you have clasped the item together, they are safe for transport.

You can also carry rings and other small items by placing them in an individual cup and covering it with a lump of packing paper. After securing all your items, seal the cup with packing tape to secure them.

3) Pill Organizers

Pill organizers are perfect for storing smaller jewelry. Its tiny compartments can safely store rings and pairs of earrings. You should pack these items individually, each in their compartment, to keep them safe and tangle-free. The only downside with this method is that it cannot accommodate larger jewelry pieces such as earrings with hoops.

4) Recloseable Bags

Once you've packed all your jewelry for travel, you should store them together in a larger item. In case you do not have a jewelry box, large recloseable bags are an excellent storage option.

Once you have placed all the jewelry in these bags, secure it with packing tape. This prevents items from busting open, which could result in the loss of your most valuable articles. Using recloseable bags ensures unified jewelry storage, thus making it easy to unpack and sort your jewelry items once arriving at your destination.
